ABOUT US

We are Glenn & Kimber Gradin, a husband-and-wife team located in Northern California.  We live amongst 40 acres of beautiful Redwoods in the small tourist town of Miranda.

We have owned Swissys for about 7 years but have owned and bred other breeds for 30+ years.  Our other breeds have been Shar Pei, Australian Shepherd, Pembroke Welsh Corgi, and Australian Cattle Dogs.

Glenn fell in love with the Greater Swiss Mountain Dog breed years ago when attending a local dog show. After breeding ACD's for a number of years we decided to get our first Swissy. We soon realized they were a somewhat rare and hard to find breed.  After searching many kennels, we found an available puppy in Oklahoma from Liberty Run Kennels.  We drove from California to Oklahoma to pick her up.  We totally fell in love with her, and she is now our foundation bitch "Zeeva".

I (Kimber) am certified as a dog trainer, canine massage practitioner, and working on certification in canine conditioning.  I am a AKC Evaluator for Canine Good Citizen, Farm Dog, and Trick Dog.  I compete in AKC Obedience, Rally Obedience, Drafting (carting) and Barn Hunt. Zeeva and I have also been on a Primitive overnight 10-mile pack hike.  Glenn and I both show the dogs in Conformation.

Our puppies are born in the house and Early Neurological Stimulation is started at 3 days on healthy puppies.  We also follow the Puppy Culture program with our pups, to make sure we bring out the best personality traits possible
